SONYA EDDY FOLLOWS DOCTORS ORDERS BY GIVING GENERAL HOSPITAL HER ALL
Sonya Eddy brings a bright light with her to the General Hospital set, as her presence is usually felt just a second before the camera swings by the nurses station. Her contribution as Epiphany Johnson doesn’t go unnoticed by the GH fans or her co-stars – everybody loves Sonya!
What has the Covid-19 restrictions caused you to miss the most?
I miss the movie theater! I tend to go to the movies A LOT, and I’m having serious withdrawals
GH’s main event each year in the Nurses Ball, which was scheduled to tape just about the time everything closed up. What has been your most memorable Nurses Ball performance?
I have to say that one of my faves was Tony Geary’s performance of I Am What I Am!
But, what was your favorite performance of your own from Nurses Ball?
Hands down Doctor’s Orders. I grew up singing that song whenever it was on the radio. To get a chance to sing it on TV was one of my ‘little girl’ dreams come true
What’s the best thing your parents ever taught you?
‘Your word is your bond’! I keep that one close to my heart and it’s never failed me.
Are you excited about the thought of traveling – where would you like to go?
I miss traveling very very VERY much! So as soon as it can be done safely, I’m heading to Vegas to scoop up a friend and then we are hitting Brussels, Belgium and Italy!
If you were throwing a dinner party for six – who would be on your dream guest list?
Wow, that’s a hard one. Considering the climate of society right now it would be Barack and Michelle Obama, Deepak Chopra, John Lewis, Whoopi, and Cher. Sounds a little hodgepodge, but I have my reasons.
